Thank you for coming to my page. However it was that you found my site, THANK YOU. You might have seen my Facebook page, Fitness groups, and pictures. My size has changed a lot over the years, and will cont to do just that. This is my story on where I have come from and where I am going.
Growing up in California I was the short fat kid in class, as I came into my teens I fought with Anorexia. I became smaller and found my love for sports. After graduating High School, I followed my now Husband 3,000 miles across country to Maryland. I quickly started to put on weight. I was in a new place, with a new climate, and the most drastice one was SEASONS. I was not ready for all 4 seasons. In 4 days, I went from 68 degrees sunny SoCal weather to -9 degrees and snow. My body was in shock.
After just 3 years in the DC Area I had sustained a bad knee injury and gained almost 50 pounds. I hated my body. I started my change with trying to go to the gym. I did great and went almost every day. However, I had no clue what I was doing. I quickly gave up. One night while sitting up watching T.V. with my Husband. We watched a TurboFire Infomercial. My Husband said that it looked like something that I would enjoy. I bought it that week. That was the start to getting my body back. In those 90 days I lost almost 14 pounds and over 10 inches. I cont on to do many more Beachbody Workouts, Insanity, P90X, Hip Hop Abs, and Brazil Butt Lift. I found myself going back over and over again to TurboFire. I truly fell in love with it and Chalene Johnson.
I soon found out I had Endometriosis. (a blog on what this is check it out). After my second surgery for it, I had gained back most of the weight I had lost. In one year I had gained 30 pounds almost. I picked up running and ran my first 5K ever. I then left my long term career in Healthcare for one in a gym. I went back to school and am now working on my Personal Training Certifications from the National Association of Sports Medicine, or NASM. I couldn't love it more. I look forward to getting into the healthiest place I can personally, and helping others do the same for themselves.
